In part 1 of How To Read Your Credit Card Statement, we covered the importance of checking your credit card statement each month You don’t want to bury your head in the sand like an ostrich. You want to be well-informed of what your statement says each month. Here are other things to look for on your credit card statement:
- New charges. Check to see what new purchases you made on your card this month. Do this also to see whether any unauthorized charges were made.
- Previous balance. This shows how much you owed last month. It shows all of your old charges.
- Credit line or available credit. This area will show you how much more you have to spend. It also shows the total amount allotted all together.
