Most of us have either experienced or witnessed the moment when a credit card was declined. It can be an irritating thing to happen. Here are two reasons your credit card may get declined:
- You’ve reached your credit limit. This can happen to anyone. While out shopping, you may not realize that you’ve reached your limit. The best solution is to watch it more closely and keep it at below 30% to make sure you don’t exceed it.
- Incorrect information. If you aren’t careful, you can sometimes put the wrong information in. When this happens, your transaction will be declined. Be sure to key in the right billing address, credit card number and expiration date when making purchases online.
These two things will cause a credit card purchase to be declined every time. In the next part, we’ll cover two other reasons your credit card may be declined.
