In part 1 and part 2 of The Non-Credit-Card Way Of Rebuilding Your Credit Score, we shared ways you can start to rebuild your credit report without using a credit card. They included: opening a bank account, getting a small loan, reporting your rent and adding a household bill to your name. Here are other ways you can start rebuilding your credit report:
Pay all bills on time. There is no way around this one. You’ve got to pay your bills on time. The best way to do this is to ensure that your payments are made at least a day ahead of schedule.
Avoid getting a cosigner. It may be easy to get someone else with good credit to cosign for you. But, if you want to build your own healthy credit history, you must do it on your own. That means taking the small steps needed in order to become an established borrower yourself. If one place won’t lend you the money you need, another institution probably will. It’s much better for you to be responsible for your own payments.
Follow these steps listed above and you will be able to raise your own credit score in no time without a credit card.
